HEFLIN-Virginia (Murphy), Omaha. Born in Loveland, CO, on May 20, 1921 as Virginia Christine Weinrich; died June 27th at the age of 87. Virginia graduated from Colorado A & M (now CSU) in 1943. She traveled to Washington, D.C., and worked in government until after WWII ended. She returned to Colorado, where she met and married her first husband, Vincent Murphy, in 1950. Their son, Vincent Jr., died in an airplane crash at the age of 17. Vincent Sr. died in 1984 from complications with diabetes. Virginia married Phil Heflin in 1992. They shared 15 years of life together until Phil’s death in February of 2007. Virginia is survived by her stepsons and their wives: Joe Heflin and Pat Danielsen, Walt and Sue Heflin, Howard and Judith Heflin; several cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews. SERVICES Tuesday, 11am West Center Chapel. Interment, Evergreen. Memorials to the American Diabetes Association. The family will receive friends Monday, 6-8pm at the West Center Chapel.
