Stephanie M. (Vassios) Williams Dec 28, 1955 – Nov 19, 2015 Stephanie Marie (Vassios) Williams was born on December 28, 1955 in Denver, Colorado to Andy and Jackie Vassios. She entered into rest on November 19, 2015 in Omaha, NE at home surrounded by loved ones. Stephanie graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver, Colorado and then went on to obtain her BSN at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline Vassios and father-in-law, Richard Williams. She is survived by her husband, Rob Williams; daughters: Shawna Hawkins (Chris), Sara Porter (Scott), and Alyssa Schildhorn (Daniel); sons: Aaron Williams (Dana), Matthew Williams, and Jordan Williams; nine grandchildren; father, Andy Vassios; mother-in-law, Claudine Williams; brothers, Tom Vassios and Greg Vassios (Theresa); brother-in-law, Richard Williams (Mary); other relatives and friends. Stephanie and Rob were married for 28 years. They served in the areas of parenting, pre-marital, and blended family ministries over the years. They had a passion towards serving others while building lasting relationships through Christ. They also enjoyed dates to Starbucks, spending time with family, fellowship with friends, and visiting her home state of Colorado to enjoy the beauty of nature. Stephanie had a passion for studying the Bible via Kay Arthur and Beth Moore. During her nursing career she worked in the ICU, Critical Care and General Health Care. Stephanie did take time off to raise her children and also homeschooled. She then returned to the nursing field in pediatric care and finished her career as a school nurse for three local private schools through the VNA. Stephanie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and servant of the Lord. She bravely battled cancer and was graciously promoted home to be with her Lord and Savior. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 22nd, from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel. SERVICES Monday, November 30th at 10:30am at Waypoint Church, 1313 No. 48th Ave. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to Visiting Nurses Association.
