ZANDT, Diane K.

Diane K. Zandt Nov 23, 1943 – Feb 21, 2016 Diane Kay Zandt was born on Nov. 23, 1943 to Glen “Ginny” and Molly (Meyer) Hansen in Tyler, Minnesoa. She was baptized and confirmed at the First English Lutheran Church in Tyler. She attended Tyler Public School, graduating in 1961. On May 13, 1962 she married George Zandt in Tyler, then moved to Omaha to start their new life together. Their union was blessed with two sons and 53 years of marriage. She worked as an accountant for a small millwork company that she and George were business partners in with friends Paul and Marge Strachota. She loved gardening and belonged to a garden club. She really enjoyed the friends that she made through her garden club, and the relationships that she had built over the years with her neighbors and friends from church, but nothing topped spoiling her grandkids and the love she had for her family. She died peacefully in her sleep at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha on Sunday, February 21, 2016, at the age of 72. Diane is lovingly remembered by her sons, Carey and wife Deb, Cris and wife Robyn; her four grandchildren: Zahler, Aaron, Jozlyn and Renee Zandt. She has three surviving brothers: Merle Hansen (Shirley) of Tyler, Minnesota, Dale Hansen (Jane) of Ankeny, Iowa, and Steve Hansen (Ann) of Cold Spring Minnesota; one sister, Kathi Van DeVere (Mic) of Tyler, Minnesota; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ginny and Molly Hansen; sister, Jeanne Larson; and brother, Rick Hansen. Blessed be her memory! The family will receive friends Thursday, February 25th, from 5pm to 7pm at Westwood Church, 13056 Atwood Ave. SERVICES Friday, February 26th at 11am, at Westwood Church.
