ZORAD, Violet Marie

Violet Marie Zorad Mar 10, 1926 – Oct 14, 2016 Violet was a loving wife, caring and dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a Den Mother with Cub Scouts, a room mother many times at Christ the King School, active in her husband’s Omaha Printing House Craftsman’s Club, chairwoman and co-chair of many ladies’ circles at Christ the King Church. She and our father were bowlers, avid dancers, golfers and Nebraska football enthusiasts. Violet was a natural artist, seamstress, marvelous cook and fantastic baker. Our father loved her so much, he left first in May of 2015 to make a place for her to join him. Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Paul Zorad; parents, Sylvester and Vida Morrison. She is survived by her six children: Michael Zorad (Gayle), Stephen Zorad (Rose), Deborah Radl (Tom), Robert Zorad, Christine Zorad (Joe Savoie), and Pamela Yosten (Mark); 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, Oct. 24th from 5pm to 7pm, with VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm at the Bel Air Chapel. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Tuesday, October 25th at 10am, Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials to Christ the King Educational Trust.
