Lisa Joyce Green was born to Steverson and Katherine Green on October 13, 1960. She departed this life on November 13, 2017.

Lisa graduated from Technical High School in 1978. She began her college education in design at University of Nebraska at Omaha in the early 1980s. Design was the basis of all her gifts and talents. For many years, Lisa was a seamstress, and she was well known for making apparel for family.

Lisa later on in life set out to obtain more education. She went to Metro Tech Community College and obtained her Associate’s Degree in horticulture. Soon after she received a Bachelor’s Degree in multimedia design at University of Nebraska at Omaha. She became employed at the University in the multimedia department, as well as the University of Nebraska at Lincoln School of Dentistry as a multimedia Design Specialist. and remained there until she fell ill.

Lisa’s greatest calling was being an evangelist and teacher. She loved the Lord. She spoke at many women’s conferences and events. Her heart was ministry. She walked that out with the Good News Bears, an out-reach program where she taught teen girls for over twenty years. She was a Sunday School teacher at her Church. She was a part of the North Omaha Village where she was involved in ministering to women on the streets, and prayer walking to prevent shootings and praying over the city. She was a part of the Nebraska Founders Values. She was an intercessor.  She was also involved in many civil issues.

She was a member of Trinity Foursquare Gospel Church, where she danced on the praise and worship team. Dancing was one  of her greatest joys. She taught dance and what many may not know, she was an artist and writer. She wrote plays and started writing a book before she fell ill. She was a fighter who fought a good fight and now she is in Heaven dancing with the Lord.

Preceded in death by, and will love always, mother, Katherine M. Green; brother, David E. Green; sister, Sharon L. Green.  Left to remember her dearly are brother,Michael J. Green; sister-in-law, Sharon Green.
