Jonathon Draper, age 52, passed away on May 17th in Omaha, NE, surrounded by his family. He was born on June 1, 1965, the son of Mary Fran and Addison Draper, and raised in LaSalle-Peru, Illinois. Jonathon spent most of his career as an executive chef in Chicago, where he met his wife and raised four children before moving to Omaha in 2008.

Jonathon is survived by his wife, Ginny Fallon, and his four children: Molly, Rebecca, Moriah, and Carson. Jonathon is also survived by siblings: Michael Draper, Dr. Robyn Draper (Peter Praetz), Dr. Susan Draper (Michael Bianco), Dr. Peter Draper, Paul Draper (Jean Jacobs), Dr. Miriam Goldfien (Dr. Bob Goldfien), Greg Draper (Marcey), and Allison Draper (Jeff Goldfien); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Fran and Addison; sister, Eugenie; brother, Patrick; and niece, Sarah.

Food and family were central to Jonathon’s life. He found great joy in cooking for and entertaining his loved ones. He had a deep love of card games, Michigan football, and big band music. He kept his social circle small, but loved those within it immensely. Above all, he took pride in being a husband to Ginny and a father to his children, who he always did his best to support.

Ginny and family, I have begun this many times and simply cannot find the words to express to you how sorry I am for you and your family. I will miss Jonathon, but know that my pain is a fraction of what you all are experiencing. My thoughts are with you.
