Linda Lou Walter
June 13, 1952 – August 13, 2022
Preceded in death by father, Charles Teeters; brothers and sisters: Rita, Orleatha, Bill, Mike, Terry, and Roger; nephew, Walt. Passed away with mother, Marceline Teeters. Survived by husband, Jim; brother, Chuck (Linda); children: Chris (Megan), Scott (Amy), and Jamie Kirschbaum, Frank (Butt) and Kirsten (Sissy) all of Omaha; grandchildren: Shelby (Rene), Gage, Kasie (Conner), Haley, Seth, Briana (Jake), Lila, Tyson, Champ, David, Jacob, and Colton; great-grandchildren: Gemma, Charles, Kylo, Cooper, and Ellie; many nieces and nephews.
Linda loved her family more than anything in the world. She loved to cook and share her cooking secrets with her children and grandchildren. She had a full candy drawer in the bottom of her fridge, which was usually the first stop for everyone who walked in the door. Hugs and kisses were a must and no one was getting out of there without one. Going to the casino with Jim was her favorite past-time. She devoted the last 15 years of her life taking care of her mother, Marceline, and was getting ready to start her new job as a cook at Omaha Public Schools. She worked at the Med Center as a cook and at Burger King for over 30 years. She was known to take in anyone that needed a place to sleep, food in their stomach, or money in their pocket. She was small, but mighty, loved fiercely, and extremely opinionated. She loved to tell stories, which she passed on to her children and grandchildren. Her legacy of love will be passed on from generation to generation.
