Virginia L Wilson
August 26, 1928 – November 3, 2022
Virginia L. Wilson passed away peacefully on November 3, 2022 in Lincoln. She was born August 26, 1928 to Thomas and Florence Seiver in Aurora, Nebraska and grew up on the family farm in Marquette. After graduating from Marquette High School, she attended the University of Nebraska, studying music and education. She married Roy Wilson in 1952 and the couple lived in Omaha where she taught school until her 2 children were born. Later she returned to teaching, completed her Masters in Education at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, and taught fourth grade in the Millard Public Schools until retiring.
Virginia and Roy were able to fulfill their dream of building a home on their acreage outside Omaha, complete with gardens, horses, and other pets. Many family members and friends enjoyed “country” visits for horseback and buggy rides over the years. A lifelong reader, Virginia enjoyed her book club and kept a notebook of summaries of the volumes she read.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Diane (John Regier) Wilson; son, Richard (Karen) Wilson; grandchildren: Royce Wilson, Jena (Dillon) Vogt, and Lydia Regier; sister, Donna (Roger) Jorgensen; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Roy; parents, Thomas and Florence Seiver; brothers, Frank and Wesley; sisters, Louisa and Barbara Seiver Tudor.
Services will be held at 11am on Friday, November 11, 2022 at Presbyterian Church of the Cross, 1517 S. 114th St. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Nebraska Humane Society.

Love and sympathy for the loss of such a lovely lady!! She will be dearly missed!🙏❤️
Many condolences for your profound loss. Virginia was a gem.
Sorry to hear of Mrs. Wilson’s passing! I have many fond memories of the Wilson’s yard on Ohio Street. The whiffle ball games, kick the can, watching movies outside on tv on the front porch, and the night time hide and go seek games. Many times Mrs. Wilson and Mr. Wilson would join us kids in the games. I wish peac to Diane and Rick.
We will miss Genny, she has always been a part of our lives. We love you all and our prayers are with each of everyone of you!
Genny, Donna and I have talked how wonderful the peace of mind and the joy she found in her faith of knowing Jesue Christ as her Savior and Lord. We know she is home now and at peace with Roy, siblings and Mother and Dad.
