Rod passed away peacefully on Sunday February 5, 2023 at Aksarben Village Memory Care surrounded by caring staff and family.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Claire.

Rod and Claire joined St. Pius Parish in the spring of 1956 when Fr. Kemper was the pastor.  Faithful servants and volunteers, Rod and Claire sang in the church choir for over 40 years.  They and other volunteers helped Fr. Kemper build the church and school.  Rod and Claire raised a family of eight children, each of whom graduated from St. Pius X.

Rod and Claire sang tenor and alto in the Messiah choirs both with Voices of Omaha and with their church in Grand Junction.  Daughters Jenni and Meg sang with them many times.  It was a celebration of family and friends over the years.

Rod also volunteered for numerous health and wellness organizations, including Veterans Hospital in Grand Junction and AA.

Rod was proud of his sales career at Ecolab in the Omaha area.

Rod was a passionate model railroad enthusiast.  His trains can now be seen at Lauritzen Gardens in Omaha.

Rod loved to bicycle, riding the Bike Ride Across Nebraska for decades and doing many trail rides with family and friends.  He volunteered as a trail host in Grand Junction Colorado where he and Claire retired in 1997 and lived for 25 years.

He is preceded in death by wife, Claire Marie Harry; daughters: Marlayne Kay Harry, Ann Marie Harry, Margaret Claire Harry.

Survived by daughter, Jennifer Harry Pospichal (Bill); sons: Christopher Harry, David Harry (Teresa), Allan Harry (Michelle), and Neal Harry (Tracy); grandchildren: Michael, Morgan and Megan Harry, Nerissa Harry Ahern (Jeff), Nicholas Harry, Jordan Harry-Farr, Randy, and Samuel Harry, Ashley and MacKenzie Harry.

    to the Harry Family, All of you are in our prayers and thoughts during this time. We enjoyed seeing and being with your father in the past. He had such great stories to share. We haven’t seen him in the recent years, however whenever I think of him, I have such a warm and happy feeling.
