Gary E. Tusa
11/25/1951 – 4/27/2023
Gary passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, April 17th, 2023.
In his early years, Gary was a bartender which is how he met his spouse Pam. From there he
assisted in building furniture for his wife’s family business. Upon leaving this job, he found his
true calling as a real estate agent, a career which gave him passion and joy.
Gary loved his family and friends dearly. He couldn’t go anywhere in Omaha without seeing
someone he knew. Having a wonderful sense of humor, he loved telling jokes. Gary had a kind
soul and always put others’ needs before his own. He was all but modest about his good looks
and, thought unverified, claimed women just couldn’t resist being around him.
Gary was truly one-of-a-kind. He may be gone from this world, but his spirit lives on through us.
Gary is survived by his wife Pam of 38 years, sons Nate Tusa (Allison), Nick Tusa (Eva), their
daughter Gwendolyn. Siblings Edward Tusa (Judeane), Richard Tusa (Ingrid), Carol Quinn
(Michael), Teresa Stillmock (Mark), Robert Tusa (Tammy) and many nieces and nephews. Gary
was preceded in death by his parents Francis and Jean (Kopecky) Tusa, brother John Tusa
along with grandparents, uncles, aunts and friends,
It was Gary’s wish there be No Services.

So sorry for your loss. He will be greatly missed. If you need anything, please contact me or Julia.
The old neighborhood lost another good one. Childhood friendships are an Integral part of growing up. The Tusa and Gunzelman families have a long bond over the years. We all know time is passing, but it doesn’t make it any easier to say goodbye.
