Bernice Darlene Wisniewski
January 6, 1933 – February 26, 2024
Bernice D. Wisniewski, age 91, a resident of CedarHurst Care Center sadly left us on February 26, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Wisnieswki Sr.; sisters, Lou Dougherty and Helen Labanowski; brothers; Ed, Leonard, George, William and Gerald Gahl. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Wisniewski) Kimball and her sons: Billy, Stanley, and Steve Wisniewski. Bernice has 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Bernice was born and raised in South Omaha and lived at 5110 South 39th Street for many years with her husband, Stan (Babe) and the kids. She retired from Mutual of Omaha in 1993, where she proudly worked as a Security Guard at the main entrance by the dome. After her husband passed away, she moved to Papillion to be closer to her daughter, Brenda. Bernice was a very active person and insisted on mowing her yard and removing the snow by herself, even in her eighties. She loved her family and grandchildren very much.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, February 29, 12:00 p.m., with VISITATION starting at 11 a.m. at West Center Chapel, 7805 W. Center Rd.
Interment, Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park, 5701 Center Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.

I am really sorry I didn’t get to be around for Grandma and for all I’ve missed out on with her over the years. I hope the rest of the family is doing well. I didn’t show up today because I wasn’t sure how that would have been taken.
