A. Ann “Nish” (Oltman) Shea

February 26, 1032 – May 14, 2019

Ann was the longtime Administrative Assistant for the Nebraska State Racing Commission, retiring only one month after her 87th birthday and only because of failing health. She was a ball of energy, and a truly selfless women who always made time to help anyone who needed her.  Her true passion was her family. She never missed an event or an opportunity to be with kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.  John’s and her home will be long remembered as “The Land of Yes”.

Ann was preceded in death by the love of her life, John, and son, Doug.  She is survived by son, Dan Shea (Karen); daughters, Cynthia Csipkes-Curran (Bob) and Karen Lechner (Mike), and brother George “Brud” Oltman Jr Spoiled grandchildren: Brian Csipkes (Suzanne), Jay Csipkes (Kerri),of Dallas, TX, Terry Csipkes (Nikki), Amy Butts (Christian),Robert Curran III (Christina) of Des Moines,Ia,   Daniel Ryan Shea of Los Aneles, CA, Kelly Shea of Austin, TX,  Shea Lechner (Lynn), Jeff Lechner,  Joe Shea of Los Angeles, CA ,  and John Shea.  Great grandchildren:  Elizabeth and Elliott Csipkes,  Patrick, Quinn, and  Evie Ann Csipkes, Dallas, TX., Oliver and Claire Csipkes,  Alex and Matthew Butts, and Kendall Curran, Des Moines, Ia.

A visitation with the family will begin at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, June 4th 2019, at the West Center Chapel, followed by a Celebration of Life at 5:30pm and a gathering at Horsemen’s Park around 7pm.

Memorials are suggested to Holy Name Class of 1977 Scholarship Fund.
