Our History

Celebrating Life Since 1852

Things have certainly changed since 1880.  Funeral establishments have come and gone, and in recent years you have no doubt heard about the growth of corporate ownership of funeral homes.  It has even happened here in our area.  We, of course, remain family-owned and operated.  Our heritage of family funeral directors offer a combined 200 years of experience in caring for your needs at a most difficult time.

We feel accountability must be to the families we serve, rather than shareholders in a corporation.  It is important that you are advised and served by someone who knows the community and the traditions.  We offer flexible options during the preparation of funeral arrangements, a personal touch that a family-owned business can offer.

As we embark on our second century of family service, we will continue to grow and change with you.  As a longstanding member of the National Funeral Directors Association, Nebraska Funeral Directors Association, and “Order of the Golden Rule”, Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler Mortuaries maintains a strong reputation of satisfied families.  We will have future generations here to serve your family as our forefathers did over 125 years ago.
