Preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Elizabeth Mauk; sister, Shirley (Sanderhoff) Pecoraro; and one nephew. Family members who will be missing Al include his siblings: Wilma Conley, Robert Mauk, Harold Mauk, Elizabeth Eriksen, Donald Mauk, and Beverly Mauk; twenty-two nieces and nephews; numerous grandnieces and grandnephews; ex-wife and lifelong friend, Diane Mauk.

Alan Graham Mauk, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, October 4th. He was the seventh of eight children of Elizabeth and Raymond Mauk. He was preceded in death by one sister and one nephew. His remaining family and many friends love him and will miss him dearly. Al was always quick witted and clever. He always had an idea or invention in mind. He wanted to make life better for others and would go far out of his way to help anyone in need. In the sense of serving others, Al enlisted in the military even before completing high school and served in the Vietnam War from Nov. of 1966 through Nov. of 1968. He was proud to have served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division. When he returned, he soon found an interest in the new age of computers. It was a good match for him, and he made IT technology his career at Data Documents, Inc. and First Data Corp. He was very successful and loved it. Through his work he travelled the world and had many wonderful experiences. Al continued to be a very caring and generous person. He was married and divorced twice and had no children. Al retired from First Data, International Software Development. At the time of his passing, Al was living in his home in Ralston, NE.

MEMORIAL SERVICE Wednesday, Oct. 11th at 3pm at the West Center Chapel, 7805 W. Center Rd.  A Celebration of Life and Remembrance will be held directly following the memorial service; location to be announced at the conclusion of the service.

    I am so sorry to hear of Al’s passing. Al was a wonderful person with a heart of gold. I have a lot of memories of Al as him and my late husband were best friends. Sending Love, Thoughts, and Prayers to everyone. God Bless.

    I am so sorry to hear of Al’ s passing. I worked with Al and Diane at Data Documents for many years. I was always impressed by his professionalism, expertise, and caring attitude towards everyone. Thinking of all of the family at this time and hoping that fond memories of Al will give you comfort.
