A 33-year employee of Union Pacific Railroad, Alice McGowan passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017.  Preceded in death by beloved family members: parents, Bridget and Francis McGowan; sister Margaret McGowan.  Survived by brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Cynthia McGowan; nieces, Kim McGowan and Megan McGowan; nephews, Christopher McGowan (Sarah) and Thomas “Toby” McGowan (Cherrie); grandnieces: Margaret “Peggy” McGowan, Caroline McGowan, Eloise McGowan, and Penelope “Poppy” McGowan; grandnephews, Jackson McGowan and Luke McGowan.

In lieu of flowers, Alice asked that you remember her with a memorial to Christ the King Educational Trust, or to a charity of your choice.

The family will receive friends Sunday, June 11th, 3pm to 5pm at the Bel Air Chapel, 12100 W. Center Rd.  MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Monday, June 12th at 10am at Christ the King Catholic Church, 654 So. 86th St.  Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

    The loss of a loved one is difficult. We can draw comfort from the bible at at 1 corinthians 15:26 where god promises to bring the last enemy death to nothing. The bible tells us of many promises such as this. Please take care and very sorry to have learned of your loss.
