Alyzabeth J. Jensen
April 27, 2012 – July 24, 2020
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Aly-Bear. Alyzabeth “Aly” Jayne Jensen passed away unexpectedly on July 24, 2020 in the loving arms of her mother. Aly was born on April 27, 2012 to her parents, Jessica and Matthew Jensen, in Omaha, Nebraska.
Aly was such a joy and an easygoing child. From birth she was a fighter and never let her medical and special needs stop her from enjoying life and loving her family. Aly made a lasting impression on everyone she met. She loved her family, friends, school, Camp Munroe, and animals, especially dogs. Aly enjoyed baths and swimming, but having snuggles was her favorite pastime. Aly achieved so much in her just 8 years and her memory lives on in her friends and family.
Aly is survived by her parents, Jessica and Matt; and her sister, Madelynn “Maddy”; also, her grandparents, Lois and Dennis, Deb and Steve, and Melinda and Jim, and her numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
The family would like to thank all of Aly’s educational and medical teams for their incredible care for Aly all these years. Her quality of life was greatly improved and enriched by their tireless efforts.
A private service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020, with plans for a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Donations will be applied for improvements for the life of her sister, Maddy in the form of a sensory therapy chair. Any further donations will be used to create the Alyzabeth (Aly-Bear) Memorial Scholarship. Scholarships will be used to allow other special needs children to attend Camp Munroe and enjoy it as much as Aly did.
The family can be reached at their home: 711 Fall Creek Rd., Papillion, NE 68133. Friends have established a Gofundme page in Alyzabeth’s memory for purpose of donations at Gofundme.
