AMOURA, Mohammed “Fred”

Mohammed “Fred” Amoura Jan 28, 1958 – Feb 14, 2015 Beloved father and son and brother, 57, of Omaha, Nebraska, died unexpectedly February 14, 2015. Fred was born on January 28, 1958 in Red Oak, Iowa to Mahmoud and Saira Amoura. Fred grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended Westside High School and Iowa State University and was a licensed Professional Engineer. He was the president/owner of Amoura Mack and Associates for 16 years. Prior to that Mr. Amoura worked for Baker Engineering and Envirodyne in Chicago, Illinois where he was the project manager for major developments including Navy Pier and highway I-55. During his 18 year career in Chicago, Amoura was a member and officer of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers where he was honored for his leadership and civil engineering accomplishments in the Chicago area. Fred leaves behind his treasured son, Mahmoud, a 12-year-old honor student at Westside Middle School in Omaha. Mr. Amoura was preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by his stepmother, JoAnne Amoura, and his five siblings: Aida Amoura Rezac (Rex), Dorothy Casaccio (Joseph), Sana Amoura-Patterson, Chuck Amoura, and Jean Amoura (Mohammad Odeh); beloved nieces and nephews: Sam, Chris, Saira, and Leila Casaccio, Will and Zarifeh Patterson, and Ibrahim Amoura-Odeh. He will be remembered by cousins, aunts, uncles, and countless friends throughout the United States and the Middle East. VISITATION to be held Wednesday, February 18th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel. SERVICES Thursday, February 19th at 11am, West Center Chapel. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to Mahmoud Amoura Educational Fund.
