Amy Jane Meyer

January 22, 1939 – April 2, 2024

Amy Jane Meyer, age 85 of Omaha, died April 2, 2024, at Brookstone Village in Omaha.  Amy was born January 22, 1939, in Murray, Nebraska, the daughter of Irl and Margaret Warlick. Amy grew up in Nehawka, Nebraska and graduated from Nehawka High School.  On August 30, 1957, Amy married Russell Meyer. Russell and Amy moved to Carter Lake, Iowa after Russ started working for United Airlines at Eppley Airfield. While living in Carter Lake they welcomed three children: Cindy, Wayne, and Chris.  In 1971 they moved to west Omaha.  Soon after, Amy started working for Richman Gordman as a part time clerk in the fabric department and eventually worked her way up to Assistant Store Manager. Later Amy would also work for Mangelsens and Nobbies as an Assistant Manager retiring in 2020.  Amy enjoyed gardening, vacationing in Hawaii, a good glass of wine, and Nebraska football.  More than anything Amy loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. Christmas with family was always a special holiday. Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Langdon Klein (Gail) of Omaha; son, Wayne Meyer (Sara) of Omaha; son, Chris Meyer (Paulette) of Kansas City; grandchildren: Dayna Goff (Barry), Jacob Meyer, Jack Meyer, Hannah Munsinger, Sophia Dejano.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; her parents; brothers: Bryon Warlick, Floyd Warlick, Don Warlick and Alfred Warlick.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
