Anna M. (Imhoff) Heinson
April 29, 1919 – August 9, 2021
Ann was born to Albert and Antonia (Weinberger) Imhoff. She grew up on a family farm with her four brothers and four sisters outside of Madison, NE. She attended Catholic Boarding School during her grade school years and graduated from Madison High School. At the age of 18, she was so determined to move to the big city, Omaha, NE, that she left home during a polio outbreak. In Omaha, she attended secretarial school and worked for Mutual of Omaha and Dr. Charles McLaughlin.
Ann married Conrad Heinson in 1954. They had two daughters, Debra and Tamara. An avid card player, she enjoyed playing bridge and gin rummy. Anna treasured her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Ann is survived by her husband of 67 years, Conrad Heinson; daughter, Tamara Fowler (Doak); son-in-law, Steve Thiesfeld; grandchildren: Kimberly Vail (Dan), Kyle Fowler (Kelly), Jayme Fowler, Steven Thiesfeld; her great-grandchildren, Victoria and Coralie Vail. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Thiesfeld; parents; siblings: Emelia, Lena, Carl, George, Joe, Edwin, Emma, and Doris.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Nebraska Children’s Home and JDRF. Private services will be held.
