Anne Marie Syslo

February 28, 1952 – April 13, 2024

Anne Syslo, loving wife, and mother of 5, passed away at the age of 72 years. 

Anne was born February 28, 1952, to the late James Bell and Delores Zacek.  She graduated from Holy Name Catholic High School with the Class of 1970. She spent all of her life as a resident of Omaha, Nebraska. She worked at Physicians Mutual, had an in-home daycare for 20 years, and moved on to work as a medical records clerk at Immanuel Medical Center for 30 years. She passed away April 13, 2024, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha, NE.

Anne had a passion for gardening, puzzles, bowling and most of all, spending time with her family.  In retirement, she enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, South Carolina, California, and Florida.  She also thoroughly enjoyed reading and playing games with grandchildren.  Those who were blessed to know her would be quick to tell you that she was among the most selfless, loving, generous and caring people they have ever known.

Along with her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Bell.  She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard Syslo; children: Tanzy Beene and husband, Brian; Richard Syslo II; Rebecca Grossoehme and husband, Keith; and Melissa Zech and husband, Jacob; grandchildren: Tyler Beene (Ali), Tanner Beene (Michelle), Berkley Beene, Tyson Syslo, Henry Zech, and Logan Grossoehme.

VISITATION: Wednesday, April 17th, 5 to 7 p.m., followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7 p.m., at West Center Chapel, 7805 W. Center Rd.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Thursday, April 18th, 10 a.m., at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 5419 N. 114th St.

Interment, Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials will be directed by the family.

    I am so saddened to hear of Anne’s passing. I worked many years with Anne at Immanuel. She always had a smile and laugh I will not forget. My sincere sympathy to everyone….we all are blessed to have known her. Too soon gone.
