Annette Marie Rosno of Lincoln, NE, passed away peacefully after a short illness on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Born in Omaha, NE, on March 2, 1972, Annette was the second adopted child of John D. Rosno and Dorothy A. (Harlan) Rosno.
She attended Omaha District 66 Schools’ Sunset Hills, Paddock Road, Arbor Heights, and graduated from Westside High School in 1991. Active in Girl Scouts, Annette achieved the Silver and Gold Awards, which are rigorous accomplishments that few achieve.
She worked part-time at the Omaha Surgical Center, where her mother, Dorothy, a registered nurse, was the recovery room coordinator and quality assurance manager. Annette enjoyed traveling with family and always remembered faces, names, and good stories.
Throughout Annette’s life, her Uncle Randy Nelson, Aunt Phyllis, and their three precious daughters, were the source of great comfort and sister/daughter-like enjoyment for her. In the years following her father’s death, Annette was lovingly cared for by Phyllis and Randy. In her final years, Annette was a resident of Waterford at College View in Lincoln, where she enjoyed socializing and participating in activities with residents and the extended Nelson family.
