Preceded in death by husband, James M. Merwald, Sr. Survived by daughters: Ellen Batenhorst (Gary), Nancy Kuhl (Daniel, Sr.), and Carol Kelley (Pat); son, James M. Merwald, Jr. (Rebecca); grandchildren: Daniel Kuhl, Jr. (Carrie), Eric Kuhl (Aubrey), Jennifer Rotella (Rocky), Julia Batenhorst, Patrick Batenhorst (Rose), James M. Merwald, III (Kelli), Betsy Merwald, Kate Merwald, Erin Sauter (Jeff), and Amanda Filippi (Jordan); 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Jaksich (June); sister, Joan Cimpl (Donald); numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to the staffs of Fountain View and Kindred Hospice.
The family will receive friends Sunday, April 2nd from 4pm to 6pm at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 11802 Pacific, with VIGIL SERVICE at 6pm at the church. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Monday, April 3rd at 10am, St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, The Stephen Center, or Fr. Shane Education Endowment at St. Robert Bellarmine Church.
