April Dawn Clem
June 30, 1973 – May 5, 2023
April Dawn (Davis) Clem, age 49, died on Friday, May 5, 2023 in Omaha, Neb., surrounded by her family. April was born on June 30, 1973 in Omaha, Neb., the daughter of Kenneth Davis and Pamela (Pullen) Wells. April graduated from Benson High School in 1991, then earned an associate degree from University of Nebraska at Omaha.
In April of 2000, Chris was so lucky to have married the most gorgeous and caring person he would ever meet – April. Shortly thereafter they would be graced with the presence of their beautiful first-born child, Jocelyn. After 8 years of Jocelyn wishing for a sibling, they were blessed with their youngest child, Jace.
While challenged by a nearly 5-year battle with breast cancer, April never let that deter her from her goals. She found joy in time spent with family and friends, the gym, and some good time on the couch. Gifted with intelligence and wit, she could be the life of the party—when her introvert side allowed.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, uncles Rick and Doug Davis, and cousin Bobby Rockwell. She is survived by her husband Chris; children, Jocelyn and Jace; mother, Pam (Rod Wells); father Ken, (Deb McMillan); brother, Michael Davis; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Wednesday, May 10th at 1pm at the West Center Chapel, with family receiving friends from 12noon to 1pm. Memorials will be directed by the family.

April is one of the sweetest and coolest people I’ve ever met. I feel blessed to have become part of her extended family and extend sincere condolences to all who loved her. She is already deeply missed but Heaven gained one heck of an Angel this week! Chris, Jocelyn and Jace, I am so sorry and love you all. Big hugs❤️
If my heart is in this much pain, I can’t begin to imagine how you feel. April was one of my strongest supporters since high school. She grew up in the hood and had the heart of a black woman without and never pretended to be someone she was not. She was always true to herself and was a true friend. It’s really hard to speak about her in the past tense because I always saw her in my future. You will be missed. 💕
She was a High School Friend. I like her become it seem look happy all time when I seen her. She beautiful lady! Hod bless her and her family

Chris, Jocelyn and Jace,
I am so sorry for your loss and especially sorry that April is taken from you all way too soon. April’s memory will live on in so many people at Bank of the West. She truly was a great manager but also an incredible people developer. She cared deeply about her team.
I mostly knew her professionally and had the pleasure of talking with her most every week, Every week, our standard greeting started with “How are you?” (me) and her response was always “I’m living the dream”. I knew what she was going through and her words gave me comfort that she was fighting her fight with her illness and always thought she would win. She did win for a long time and watching how she handled this is such an inspiration to me that I will never forget!
She will be missed and I hope you all cherish her memories and know that many people cared as deeply for her as she did for them.

My deepest sympathies and thoughts to Chris, Jocelyn, Jace, Pam, Ken and all of April’s family and friends. I met April and Chris several years ago–some of my fondest memories from that time involve April. Everyone she met eventually grew to love her. She was such a funny, witty, intelligent and caring person. I for one can say I improved as a person having known her.

A truly amazing and inspirational human to anyone who had the opportunity to have even one conversation with her; that was April.
