Charles L. Arenz May 21, 1927 Aug 11, 2015 Born in Omaha to Pearl Agnes Elving and Sylva Otto Arenz. Preceded in death by beloved son, David Charles. Chuck was a 60-year member of First Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Elder and Trustee. He owned Arenz Omaha Shade and Blind for 45 years, and was a 60-year member of the Tangier Shrine Temple and Scottish Rite. He was known as “Chuckles” the clown in the Shrine Patrol for 30 years, and was a volunteer and coach in many youth organizations. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Mark Smith; granddaughter, Emily Goodwin (Will); grandson, David Smith (Shelly); and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, August 14th, from 6pm to 8pm at the West Center Chapel. SERVICES Saturday, August 15th at 11am at First Presbyterian Church, 216 S. 34th St. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to the David Arenz Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o First Presbyterian Church of Omaha.
