LARSON, Arthur C. Jun 23, 1915 Apr 30, 2014 Age 98; passed away in LaVista, NE. He was born in Wakefield, NE to Fred and Jennie Larson. He graduated from Wakefield High School in 1933 and from Wayne State Teachers College in 1937. After teaching at Norfolk, NE High School, he attended Creighton University School of Law where, in 1941, he received an LLB. Mr. Larson entered the FBI in June, 1941. During his twenty-four years of service, he worked in Grand Rapids, MI, New York, NY, Omaha, and Washington, D.C. He was Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Nebraska-Iowa Division and served as an administrative assistant on the staff of FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover. After retiring from the FBI in 1965 he worked in the Trust Division of the Omaha National Bank (now US Bank) for fourteen years before retiring as a Vice President. For many years he served on the Boards of Directors of the Mutual Protective Insurance Co., Medico Insurance Co., and Farmers National Co. After retirement he spent twenty-five years in Hot Springs, AR before returning to Omaha in 2007. Mr. Larson was preceded in death by his wife of twenty-four years, Mary Alice Shields, and his wife of thirty years, Azalea Cate Kadell; his parents; brothers: Harry N. Larson, T.A. Larson, and George Larson; sister, Alice Borg; great-granddaughter, Zoe Lee Sledge. He is survived by children: Jack Larson (Mary Pat) of Lincoln, NE, Rosemary Sledge (Jim) of LaVista, NE, Caryl (Kadell) and Charles Berry of Foster City, CA, James Kadell of Fayetteville, AR, Sara (Kadell) and James Ward of Fayetteville, Elizabeth (Kadell) and Kirk Wieler of Ormand Beach, FL, John Kadell of Cherokee Village, AR; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 11th from 6pm to 7pm with VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm, all at the West Center Chapel. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Monday, May 12th at 11am at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to a charity of your choice.
