Arthur Louis Young

January 20, 1935 – January 11, 2023

Arthur Louis Young was born on January 20, 1935, in Omaha, Nebraska, the only son of Louis and Mary Ann Young.

After graduating from North High School in 1953, he began a long career at Union Pacific Railroad, serving in various positions in the Labor Relations Department. He retired as Director of Equal Employment Opportunity in 1996.

Art and his wife enjoyed traveling and antiquing. He was a fan of vintage houses and was an avid collector of photographs of movie stars from the past. He accumulated and displayed more than 300 of those portraits.

Art is survived by his wife of 55 years, Valerie, and many lifelong friends.

VISITATION: Wednesday, January 18th, 9:30 a.m. with a 10:30 a.m. SERVICE at West Center Chapel. Luncheon to follow.

Interment: Pleasant Hill Cemetery

    Many fond memories of good times with Art and his wife Valerie!!!! Art was a good man and he will be missed by all who knew him. I send my deepest sympathies to Valerie and family. May you rest in peace.
