Barbara (Pfaff) Finlayson died at age 81 on September 25th in Omaha, Nebraska, after a short illness. Barbara was born on May 10, 1940, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Kathryn (Soergel) and Fred Pfaff. She received her degree in Elementary Education from the University of Kansas in 1962. Barbara married John Finlayson on September 21, 1963, and they recently celebrated 58 years of marriage. She had two daughters, Ann Haggstrom and Kathy Kresin.
Barbara is survived by husband, John Finlayson; daughters, Ann Haggstrom (John) and Kathy Kresin (Michael); grandchildren: Kathryn (Cerridwyn) Strom, Thomas Haggstrom (Emily Newcomb), Andrew and David Kresin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Kathryn Pfaff; brother, Richard Pfaff.

John and family, so sorry to hear that you beautiful wife Barbara has passed on. My brother and I grew up near you and your family on Parker St. in Omaha. We felt very close to your family. I was especially close to Judy in childhood, and understand that she passed on years ago. Perhaps you met Barbara though her, since Judy and she went to U. of Kansas, as I recall about Judy. May your heart, John and family, be filled with beautiful uplifting memories of Barbara. Deep peace to you all in this time of transition.
