Barbara Jean (Mock) Myers, age 93, died September 25, 2020 in Omaha, NE.  She was born May 1, 1927 to Ora L. and Lula V. (Patterson) Mock in rural Keya Paha Co., NE.  Barbara graduated from Keya Paha County High School in 1943 and attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln on a Regents Scholarship.  She worked as a secretary for several years at the Highway Patrol Office in Lincoln.  She married William E. Myers September 4, 1949 in Lincoln, NE.  They lived in various locations, finally settling in Omaha, NE.  They had two children, David and Diana.

Barbara’s many interests included, sewing, fishing, Husker football, traveling, wine-making and stamp collecting.  Many of these she shared with her husband.  She was an avid reader and the house was always filled with books, newspapers and magazines.  She loved flowers and was a member and past president of the Highland Park Garden Club.  She was a long-time volunteer at the UNMC Physical Therapy Dept. and at the Nebraska Humane Society (working with cats).

Surviving family members include a son, David Myers, Omaha, NE; a daughter, Diana Myers (Dean Wagner), Papillion, NE; sisters, Bette Mock and Donna Kopec, San Carlos, CA; and her beloved nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sisters, Alice (Mock) Kipper and Marie (Mock) Johnson; brother, Donald Mock; three brothers-in-law and one niece.
