Becky Goldfish Vinson
September 1, 1965 – August 2, 2018
Becky was born in St. Paul, Nebraska on September 1, 1965 to William and Shirley Goldfish. She was the second youngest in a set of 5. Becky is survived by Steven, Billie Jo, Michael, and Gary. In her adolescent years she lived in Scotia, Nebraska and later settled down in Columbus. At the age of 32 she married the love of her life, Quinn Vinson. In a short two years of marriage, she became pregnant with her first son, Issac. She decided she wasn’t done there and went on to have her second son, Ethan. Becky was an extraordinary mother, daughter, sister, and wife. The life Becky lived was one of excitement and adventure. Most of Becky’s life was spent traveling with her family. Travel to Becky was a virtue which she shared with her children, bringing them to 37 different states. From climbing Inca temples to being one of the only people to freely roll down the Indy 500’s Speedway, she lived one heck of a good life.
In November of 2017 Becky was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. It was an eight-month battle that Becky stood positive through all the way. When she first started chemo in December, she was excited because her new hair loss meant that she got to show off her scarves that she loved so much.
Becky passed on August 2, 2018 in the Buffett Cancer Center located in Omaha, Nebraska. Becky was a woman of many spiritual beliefs and held God close to her heart at all times.
The family will hold a CELEBRATION OF LIFE on August 11 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Elks Country Club, 5113 63rd St. in Columbus. Then on September 1st, a REMEMBRANCE will be held at Scotia Community Building, 504 Scotia Ave. If you plan on attending either the celebration or remembrance, please wear bright colors and refrain from wearing black per Becky’s wishes.

So sorry to hear of the lost of Becky at such a young age. Medical procedures do not always help our natural bodies, but she had enjoyed life in spite of her physical problems. God knows her heart and is welcoming her home now.
