REGAN, Bernadine A. Nov 15, 1916 – Dec 1, 2011 Bernie was born in 1916, to Solomon and Sarah Ray in Winnfield, LA. Bernie was the oldest of 7 children. Bernie was orphaned during the great depression at an early age and took employment to help with the raising of her younger brothers. She married Phil Wigton, had 5 children and moved often with her family as they established branch offices for her husband’s business. She lived in Sioux City, Omaha, Phoenix and Los Angeles. Bernie worked her way up the ladder through the Sheriff’s office, Brandeis personnel to a Vice President of Personnel Position at ConAgra. Bernie was a Gold Star mother, losing son, USMC Lance Corporal Greg Wigton, to enemy action in Vietnam in 1968. She also lost daughter, Patricia, to cancer in November 2010. After the death of her first husband, she married a former Air Force non-com Jeremiah Regan, of Bellevue, NE, who was head of St. Vincent DePaul Society in Omaha and later retired, spending summers in Omaha and winters in the Phoenix area. Bernie had many beloved friends throughout her life. She will always be remembered for the help and love that she gave to her children and friends and will be sorely missed. She is survived by her children: Ronald and wife Betty of Florida, Michael and wife Mary of California, and Kathleen and husband Mac of Washington. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. SERVICES, Saturday, 10 a.m., St. Cecilia Cathedral Our Lady of Nebraska Chapel. INTERMENT, Calvary.
