Bernard A. Siepker
February 8, 1935 – August 22, 2024
Bernard Albert “Ben” Siepker, 89, passed away on August 22, 2024, in Omaha, NE. Born on February 8, 1935, in Des Moines, IA, Ben was a man of many interests and talents, who lived a full and vibrant life.
Ben dedicated many years to NORTHWESTERN BELL/USWEST, where he retired as a District Manager. His work ethic and leadership were well-respected among his peers and colleagues.
Beyond his professional life, Ben was an avid enthusiast of the outdoors, aviation, and automobiles. After retiring, he earned his pilot license, which allowed him to indulge in his love for flying. His passion for cars was evident in the meticulous care he took of each vehicle he owned. Ben’s garage served as his workshop where he enjoyed making models of cars, planes, and boats. He also became an acclaimed cook and developed a keen interest in reading in his later years.
Ben’s love for home projects was unmatched, from raising houses to adding new rooms, his hands were always busy with a new challenge.
He is survived by his spouse, Maria Lupe Gomez; children, Deborah Siepker Hughes, Dale Robert Siepker, Gregg Alan Siepker, Ronald Edward Siepker, and stepson Robert William Pace; sister, Janet Siepker Woolway and Therese Siepker Norman; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ben was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Albert Siepker, Sr. and Burnardette Cole South Siepker, and his children, Brenda Lynn Siepker Johnson and Mark Stephen Siepker.
Ben was a proud alumnus of Dowling Catholic High School, a place that held significant meaning throughout his life. In memory of Ben, contributions can be made to the Dowling Catholic High School Scholarship Fund or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, supporting causes he deeply cared about.
Family will receive friends on Monday, August 26th, from 1:00PM – 3:00PM at West Center Chapel with Special Remarks at 2:30PM.

He was a great friend and neighbor. A real gentlemen. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
