Bernard R. Burger

Passed away suddenly. Preceded in death by parents, Ben and Cecilia Burger; brothers, James and Kenneth; sister, Joan Manion; daughter-in-law, Dini Burger. Survived by wife of 54 years, Elaine (Heimann) Burger; daughters, Kathryn McClenahan (Don) and Barbara Franzluebbers (Ron); sons, Brent (Joan Walker) and Daniel (Cindy Grady); ten grandchildren: Rob, Mitch, Tom, Ben, Rachel, Leah, Ryan, Nathan, Wyatt, and Blythe; sisters, Jan Harstick (Willie) and Patty Tinglehoff; many nieces and nephews.
Served in the U.S. Army in France 1960-1962; was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 562 and 4th Degree Chalice Club; avid bowler, bridge player, St Louis Cardinal fan and Husker fan.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 8th from 6pm to 7:30pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church, with VIGIL SERVICE to follow at 7:30pm. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL on Tuesday, Jan. 9th at 10:30am, Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials to Holy Cross Catholic Church.
