Bernice R. Murray
January 16, 1930 – August 27, 2021
It is with profound sadness that the family of Bernice Murray announce her passing on August 27, 2021. She rejoins her husband, Leo John Murray; parents, Crescentia and William Sudbeck; sisters, Lorraine Hochstein and Frieda Schulte. She is survived by children: Lori Williams (Dr. Stephen H. Williams), Larry Murray (Dr. Lisa Murray), Patrick Murray (Diane Murray), Vince Murray (Amie Murray), Lyn Bohan (James Bohan), Michael Murray, and Lisa Krist (Daniel Krist). She also had 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Bernice moved to Omaha from Hartington, Nebraska right after high school. She met Leo Murray, after his tour in Korea; they got married at Omaha’s St Cecilia Cathedral and were married for 40 years and blessed with seven children. She loved to travel and had many trips within the United States, Europe, and South America. She loved to explore new locations with friends and family. Bernice was a great dancer with her husband Leo; after he passed, she took up line dancing and joined with the Country Kickers for the next 20 years.
VISITATION: Monday, August 30th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by WAKE SERVICE at 7pm. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Tuesday, August 31st at 1pm, St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 11801 Pacific St. Interment, Calvary Cemetery.
