Our beloved, Bertha Mae Davis, of Bellevue, Nebraska passed away early morning, Tuesday, June 20, 2023. She was 86 years old.  Bertha was born on January 7, 1937, to Cecil Irvin and Hattie Mae (Edwards) Smith in Red Jacket, West Virginia. She was one of eleven children.

Bertha was a loving military spouse moving every three to five years. Her focus was that of housewife and mother, but she held many part-time jobs as well. She truly enjoyed cooking, knitting, and crocheting – making many beautiful items over the years.  She also loved her sweets, counting money and all her Jim’s. Bertha’s greatest joy was spending her life with her beloved husband, Robert Davis, deceased in January of 2022. They married on Christmas Eve, 1954 and were together for 67 years.

Bertha will be lovingly remembered by her two children and their spouses: Sandy Erickson, Robert C. and Carol Davis;  grandchildren:  Josh Davis, Amy Barton (Sam Kinnett), Paige Carmona (Mohamed), Zac Davis, Kenny Erickson; great-grandchildren: Dominic Day, Rupert Hinrichsen, Winry Barton;  brothers and sisters and their spouses:  Mavis Page (Chuck), Linda Mullins (Morris deceased), Sue Sleem (Elias), Larry Smith (Delores) ;  numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and extended family and friends.
