It is with great sadness that I learned of Bette’s death. I have known her since I was five years old. The Sullivans live one house way from ours on Erskine St. The family all looked after me and their Mom cared for me when school was not i session. I babysat for Macaela and Jack and Jean’s children. She and Mary were good friends to me and my Mother, Helen Grissom..I will never forget the day that Gene was pronounced to have drowned. Irma and Janet were like big sisters to me. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family. Bette and Mary both attended our wedding 60 years ago Dec. 17, 1960. Mary and Nick Stolzer 1349 So. 101 St Apt. 202 Omaha, Ne 68124

We are so very sorry for your loss, Macaela. There is no one in this world like your Mother…we always admired Bette’s caring and selfless nature and her memory will live on forever! All the fun that we had in Florida with you two is priceless and we loved her so very much and will miss her terribly! God Bless you all. Love you, Eddy and Fran ❤️

Betty was (and always will be) a WONDERFUL woman! She not only loved her Jays – anyone who knew Betty (and Bert) felt loved – as I did. I am happy there is another Angel in heaven!!
