Betty J. Stevens

August 14, 1928 – October 30, 2022

Betty Jean (Boling) Stevens, born August 14, 1928, passed on to her greater glory on Sunday, October 30, 2022. Betty was married to her soulmate, Forest Wayne (Steve) Stevens for 66 years. Steve preceded her in death in 2013. Her grandson, Christopher Shawn Landre, died in 1997. Betty’s three children, Cathy, 73, Pat, 68, and Douglas, 65, were blessed with the greatest mom ever. Betty had five grandchildren: Joe Vynhalek, Christopher Landre, Laura Landre, Michael Landre, Eric Stevens, and Katelyn Crilly. Her eight great grandchildren are Kylie Friesen, Declan Vynhalek, Tiernan Vynhalek, Conor Clendenning, Casey Clendenning, Caila Olivas, Clara Crilly and Kirby Crilly. Her daughter Cathy, was married to Lance Landre, deceased. Her son, Douglas is married to Vickie (Keenan) Stevens. Her granddaughter, Laura Clendenning, is married to Aron Olivas. Katelyn Crilly is married to Collin Crilly.

She was an avid sportswoman in her 40’s, 50’ and 60’s. Betty loved to play tennis and golf and enjoyed the game of Bridge as well. Betty and Steve traveled extensively over the years, traveling to Europe, the Hawaiian Islands and throughout the U.S. She was a homemaker and loved being a stay-at-home mom.

Betty and Steve lived in Fresno and Santa Cruz California from 1959-1970 before moving to Nebraska. The Stevens were members of The Presbyterian Church of the Cross for 52 years. Betty cherished all of her family and friends.

VISITATION: Tuesday, November 8, 2022, 5:00-7:00PM, at West Center Chapel.

SERVICE: Wednesday, November 9, 2022, 10:00AM, at Presbyterian Church of the Cross, 1517 S. 114th St.

    Dear Cathy, Pat, Doug and Family, I am very sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. I remember her very fondly. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always cheerful. I lived her witty outspokenness, too! Prayers for all of you.

    My condolences to Pat and all her family. Betty was a delight to know and be with. I always enjoyed being able to spend time with her. So glad Jane Brady (rip) introduced us
    May all the care and help Betty gave to others lead her to peace and happiness of eternal life. She had a life well lived and loved many and was loved by many. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all the souls of the.faithful departed rest in peace. We will miss your zest for life and loving presence.Thanks for sharing Betty with us and her loving and caring spirit. I have many great memories of shared times.
