Beverly “Joyce” Vogt

September 19, 1933 – November 19, 2020

 

Joyce was kind and had the best sense of humor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; parents, Raymond and Ann Richards; brother, Sonny Richards. Survived by daughter, Liz Zuegner (Kerry); son, Scott (Naoko) of Tumon, Guam; grandchildren: Jimmy (Jennifer), Annie, and Carolyn; great-grandson, Brady.

Due to COVID, there will be no services at this time. Memorials are suggested to Mary Our Queen Catholic School, 3405 S. 119th St., Omaha 68144.

    Oh dear sweet Joyce. I was named after Joyce. Joyce was my daddy’s (Gerald Weldy) cousin.
    I was a flower girl in her wedding . I was just a kid but I remember her coming to our house and bringing chocolate milk. Joyce was beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. Always a smile and a hug.
    I didn’t know she lived in Omaha I would have gone to see her we live in Kearney NE . My condolences to Liz and Scott your mom was a treasure.

    I am Joyce’s namesake she was my fathers cousin and beloved by our family. I was in her wedding when she lived in Monett we saw her a lot. Always loving and caring for others. So sorry for your loss Liz and Scott.
