Bill was born in Fremont, Nebraska to Clifford McGee and DeLoris Bridges McGee on November 5, 1950. He was raised in Fremont and Omaha, Nebraska and Los Angeles, California. He served honorably in the United States Navy from 1970 to 1993, retiring as Chief Petty Officer. He saw service in Vietnam, and in addition to being an intelligence analyst and Russian linguist, and he was also a Naval Aircrewman on P3 Orion aircraft. As an Omaha Police Officer from 1995 to 2012, Bill served in Uniform Patrol Division, Child Victim/Sexual Assault Unit, and Omaha Police Honor Guard.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and DeLoris McGee. He is survived by his wife, Julie Huey McGee; son, Scott McGee (Nikki Taylor, fiancée) of Austin, Texas; stepdaughter, Jenna Eggert of Omaha; sisters, Deanna Gerhard (Ernie) of Omaha and Carol Suycott (Jim) of Peoria, Arizona; former wife, Diane LaGasse McGee.
SERVICES Monday, Feb. 27th at 12noon at the Bel Air Chapel. GRAVESIDE SERVICE Monday, 3pm, Memorial Cemetery in Fremont, NE.
