WOODS, Bonnie (MacLeod), Jun 1, 1952 – Nov 4, 2011. Bonnie passed away November 4, after a long battle with cancer. She grew up in New Jersey where she met her husband of 40 years, John, on his way to serve his country in Vietnam. The couple returned to Johns hometown of Omaha after Vietnam and spent the next 40 years raising three children and welcoming four grandchildren. Bonnie found her calling when she obtained her real estate license and began a wonderful career with CBS/Home Real Estate. She loved working with people and enjoyed the thrill of helping others to achieve their American dream. She worked out of multiple offices including Davenport, Council Bluffs, Lakeside, and as manager at the Southwind office. As a fantastic cook and entertainer, Bonnie built a home with John that was full of laughter and friends. Her skill in the kitchen was celebrated by many. She enjoyed volunteering with the American Red Cross, wine, and celebrating life. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Burt MacLeod and Janet (Spaulding) MacLeod. She is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Erica (John) Woods-Schmitz, Michelle (Steve) Woods-Pennisi; son, Adam Woods; four grandchildren: Cale, Elinor, Madalyn Schmitz, and Arlie Pennisi.
