IN LOVING MEMORY Lloyd Howard Boone Dec 1, 1930 – Oct 30, 2015 Lloyd was born to Edna and William Boone in Omaha, as the second of four children. He was married to Judy Boone for 35 years and father to Claudia, Sheryl, Dave, Dawn, and Karina. He died in his home in Omaha, Nebraska. Lloyd was roofing with his father at the age of twelve. In 1958 he started his own company, Boone Brothers Roofing. His artistic side was expressed in the beautiful homes he constructed in the Omaha area and land developments in Elkhorn and Yutan. Lloyd was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Oct. 14, 1964 and came to serve as an elder for many decades. His faith in our creator, Jehovah God, motivated him to share what he had learned from God’s word, the Bible. His hope, based on the scriptures, was to be reunited with his family in paradise here on earth. PSALM 37:11: “The meek will possess the earth;” PSALM 37:29: “The righteous will possess the earth, and they will LIVE FOREVER ON IT;” MATTHEW 5:5: “Happy are the mild-tempered, since they will inherit the earth.” Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edna Boone; brother-in-law, Calvin Dierking; grandson, Brenton Boone. He will be missed by his wife, Judy Boone; children: Claudia Draper (Bill), Sheryl Boone, David Boone (Oksana), Dawn Lewis (Matthew), and Karina Mure (Jim); grandchildren: Danielle Hughes (Steve), Brandon Boone, Bridgette Boone, Anastasia Boone, and Ashley Thompson; 2 great-grandchildren, Ayla and Eliana Hughes; siblings: Bernice Dierking, Allan Boone (Bonnie), and Art Boone (Sharon); and many others. MEMORIAL SERVICE and reception will be held on Saturday, November 7th at 4pm at Indian Creek Country Club, 3825 North 202nd St. in Elkhorn, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested in Lloyd’s name to Worldwide Work of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 401 North 168th St., Omaha, NE 68118.
