Bradley John Robinson
September 16, 1974 – July 5, 2024
Brad was born in Des Moines, Iowa, to Ken and Judy Robinson. Brad grew up in Granger, Iowa, and graduated from Woodward-Granger High School. He went on to attend Iowa State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Brad spent his entire career at Acme Dock, where he worked as a Branch Manager. Brad was instrumental in establishing the Omaha branch, where his colleagues admired him as a mentor and friend. Brad was very passionate about his work, always striving for excellence on every project Beyond Acme Dock. Brad had unmatched respect in his industry.
Brad met the love of his life, Era, in the Old Market. Brad caught a glimpse of her across the street and knew he had to meet her. They married April 21, 2004, and their bond was the cornerstone of his life. They went on to have three children: Will, Emma, and Jake. Brad was a devoted family man, deeply involved in his kids’ lives, coaching them in multiple sports and supporting them wholeheartedly. He cherished every moment at the family’s lake house in Panora, Iowa, where he could combine his love for boating, fishing, spending time with his Lake Panorama friends, and making new friends at the party cove and The Port.
Known for his heart of gold, Brad never knew a stranger and treated everyone like a best friend. His warmth, intelligence, and humble nature made him a cherished member of the community. Brad enjoyed tinkering on special projects in his workshop. Brad’s love language was service. When he wasn’t working on a project for his family, he was helping a friend or neighbor with a project. Brad will be remembered as a passionate family man, a giant, a friend to all, who always gave of himself.
Brad is survived by: Era; his children, Will, and Jake; parents, Judy Robinson, Ken Robinson; siblings, Brian Robinson (Julie), Jamie Chapman (Jim); mother in-law, Engjellushe Kongoli; and 10 nieces and nephews. Judy and family – I am so sorry to hear of Brad’s passing and my heart goes out to all of you. Being younger than him in school, I didn’t know Brad well but he always seemed to have an easy-going attitude and a desire to make others laugh. Even when we crossed paths a few times in college, he seemed to have a larger-than-life presence. I hope you can find some small comfort in knowing that he had a positive impact on many around him, even people like me who were not in his grade in school or in his social circle. He made a difference in his life and will be missed. Thinking of all of you.
To Era and Family, My heart was broken when I heard the news. I can’t begin to understand the emotions tied with Brad’s passing. I highly appreciate the time that I had with Brad working at Acme. He was an incredible man. My sincerest condolences.

Era and family, my heart goes out to you as you mourn the loss of your husband and father, son, brother and uncle. While I can’t heal your pain, I wish that- in time, his memory will only bring a smile to your face and joy to your heart. May he rest in peace.
When I first met Brad he had just been hired by Acme Dock. After about a year I told him that my first impression of him was that he was arrogant and cocky. But after a very brief time he won me over and he wasn’t any if those things. He was confident and as Muhammad Ali said, “ It ain’t bragging if you can do it.” I worked for Rite Hite one of Acme Docks major suppliers and over the years he and I got to know each other and I grew to respect him like no other. There would be no other person I would like to work on a project with than Brad. It would be done and done correctly. I know his major clients felt the same.
He would joke with me when we would play golf. That when ever he felt like his golf game was suffering he would play with me and that would make him feel a lot better. My affectionate name for him was Bernard. And whenever we spoke on the phone and I said Brad he would correct me. “ What did you just call me?” Till we meet again my friend. Cheers
Our sincerest condolences from everybody at McCormick Equipment to Brad’s family and many friends. We enjoyed working with him as a real pro in our business and the trust and camaraderie with which he conducted himself. We’ll miss him like so many others.
When I first started in Tupelo, MS for Johnson Equipment Brad did a Capital Dok-Lok project that got me in the door at the Pilgrims Facilities in North Mississippi. We now are at these facilities probably twice a week now because of Brad’s hard work. Very grateful for Brad and I enjoyed working with him.
To Era and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Brad was a great guy and a true professional to work with.

The definition of a “gut punch “ when I read this today. Was lucky enough to work with him on and off over the years with Rite Hite. We had just begun working a job in Alabama . It had been a few years since I we spoke and our conversations were instantly familiar. Was so looking for ward to his visit and some golf. Sadly tragic. God Bless you Brad and prayers for your beautiful family. I cannot imagine their pain.

There are no words that can ease the pain you are feeling right now, but please know that my heart goes out to you during this incredibly difficult time. I am lifting you and your boys in my prayers, asking for strength and comfort for all of you! May He rest in peace!
Brad was one of the first people I worked with when I joined Acme Dock 14 years ago. He scared me a little at first! Working with him turned out to be a delight. As Acme grew, our interactions were less but always a pleasure and was great seeing him several weeks ago in Kansas City. We are heartbroken here. My sincere condolences to Era, his boys, all the rest of his family and friends and customers. Brad is missed.
