I don’t know what to say. I’m just in shock at Brian’s passing. I do know he is in a better place and someday we’ll hunt and go fishing again. Rest in peace Bri

I’ve known Brian over 20 years. He possessed rock solid core values which shown in his work ethic and love for his pet’s. Brian had a big heart and a pleasureable personality.

Brian will be missed. May he rest in peace.

I grew up with “uncle brian”. Fourth of July was the best time with Brian and my father (Bob) to show their pyro skills. It will be easy to remember all the great times. He was taken too early and we will all miss him dearly. My family always had a trusted hand with Brian and he was always there when he was needed and more. Love you Bri, rest in peace.

We have been Brian’s next door neighbors for over 30 years and would see and speak with Brian nearly every day. He was a very generous, kind, and compassionate man and a great neighbor. We often spoke of and played with his dogs (Ryder and Jen), our dogs, talked fishing, hunting, and Husker football over a beer. Brian will be greatly missed and may he Rest In Peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with Brian and his family. Bernard, Mary, Nick, and Ali Gorup (dogs: Chopper Bob, Jake, and Herb Brooks)

To me, he was Uncle Brian. I’m Kevin’s middle daughter. I have many fond memories of going fishing with my dad and Uncle. At one point I called him Uncle Biben and he called my Squigy or Briggy. My lil sis was Jeana beans I think. I think we both enjoyed making nicknames for people, Diet Coke, and traditional photography. I’m glad I got to hear stories and that he had a nice community of co workers, friends, and neighbors. I too am single without kids and tried to send him a Christmas card most years when we didn’t go there, let him know he’s remembered and loved. I know how that can feel. On and off we emailed through the years. It’s nice to have those to look back at. Rest in peace ☮️ Uncle Brian.
