Bruce Christian Winter

February 20, 1955 – January 15, 2022

Bruce Christian Winter, age 66, was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother and we will miss him dearly.  There will never be another Bruce Winter.  His humor, wit, and personality were one of a kind.  He was kind, generous, and could talk to anyone, even a stranger.  Son of Byron and Glenna Winter, he is survived by his wife Jeanie Winter (Sanley), daughter, Emily Hamilton (Matt), and sons Justin (Krystal) and John (Danielle); Grandchildren Harper and Graysen Winter; Jaden and Madilyn Winter; and Samuel, Jack and William Hamilton; sister, Cynthia Winter, Seward; and brother, David Winter (Stacey), Haiti.

Bruce was born in Ames, Iowa, and raised in Seward, Nebraska. He graduated from Seward High School in 1973.  He earned degrees from Dana College and University of Nebraska in Omaha. Bruce was a controller for Ralston Purina in Omaha, Lincoln and Minneapolis, Minnesota.  He later worked for Cargill as a plant technician.

Bruce was all about family and his dog, Mr. Ripley.  He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. An avid Nebraska Husker and Minnesota Viking fan, he enjoyed spending time in their pool with family, and always looked forward to their annual Lake Okoboji trip.  Bruce loved camping, canoeing, and music.

Bruce was a supportive father and husband, who always put family first.  He was proud of his children and was always the one to go to.  Bruce and Jeanie would have celebrated their forty-seventh anniversary in August.

VISITATION: Saturday, January 22, 2022, from 1pm to 2pm, followed by FUNERAL SERVICE at 2:00pm, all at the West Center Chapel.
