Bruce Wayne Costar

June 20, 1939 – August 19, 2025

Bruce was born on June 20, 1939, in Alcester, South Dakota to Ward and Beulah Costar and was baptized on June 9, 1940.

On June 27, 1959, Bruce was married to Lois Marie Dreyer at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Stanton, Nebraska.

Bruce worked for Snow Crop of Omaha after graduating from high school and later for E. L. Nogg Fruit Company where he became a partner and through the years became familiar with all the restaurants, schools and various businesses in Omaha.

Bruce and Lois were blessed with a daughter, June. Bruce loved family gatherings and spending time with friends and family. Bruce also  enjoyed hunting and trap shooting in his spare time.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Ward and Beulah Costar; brothers, James and Lowell. He is survived by his wife, Lois; daughter, June Mayher (Scott); granddaughter, Kendall Olson (lan); grandson, Taylor Mayher; two great-grandchildren: Teagan and Blakely Olson; and brother, Douglas (Carolynn).

MEMORIAL SERVICE:  Sunday August 24, 2025, 1:00PM at West Center Chapel.  VISITATION will  immediately follow until 2:30PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to  Josie Harper Hospice House or to be directed by the family.
