Survived by wife, Betty; daughters, Sarah Start, Iowa City, IA, Suzanne (Glenn) Rauert, Aurora, NE; son, Burdett “Bob” (Cheryl) Start, III, Des Moines, IA; grandchildren, Casey Alan Lee, Darcie Suzanne Lee, Burdett “Bryn” Start IV and Adency Start; sister, Mabel (MacDonald) McKee, South Glen Falls, NY; nieces; nephews. Burdett spent 21 years with International Harvester, 23 years as General Manager of Bekins Moving and Storage. He was a Consultant for Bekins Van Lines and Owner of American Moving in Des Moines, IA. Member of the Omaha Safety and Health Council and Agent of the Year for Bekins Van Lines. Past President of Suburban Rotary with 30 years perfect attendance, and a Paul Harris Fellow. Memorial Service Friday 2:30pm at the Countryside Community Church (87th and Pacific). VISITATION with the family Thursday 5-7:30pm at West Center Chapel. In lieu of flowers, Memorials to the Suburban Rotary Charitable Foundation or Countryside Community Church.
