Calvert W. Wolf was born July 31, 1944, in Omaha, NE, the son of John Calvert Wolf and Margaret Schneider Wolf. He had two older brothers, Phillip and Roger. At an early age, Cal’s passion for golf developed when he caddied for the Omaha Country Club. Cal graduated from South High School where he played football as a tight end. He also attended the University of Omaha.
At the age of fifteen, Cal met Jo-Ellen Steuteville, the love of his life, at Peony Park. They were married in 1964.
Cal and his business partner Sterling Peterson owned a carpentry business for 36 years. When Sterling retired, Cal went to work as a carpenter for Omaha Public Schools until he retired in 2012. During retirement, Cal did continue to golf but also became involved in the Audubon Society of Omaha, Bible Study Fellowship, Street Ministry outreach, and as a Life Group leader in his church. In addition, Jo-Ellen introduced him to birding, which became a passion they both shared.
Cal is survived by his wife Jo-Ellen, son John Calvert Wolf and his wife Jenny (Booth) Wolf, daughter Margaret Ann Carroll and her husband Mike Carroll, grandsons Nathan Wolf and Griffin Wolf, and brother Phillip Wolf.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Ron Reynolds – Cousin
RIP my friend, I haven’t seen Cal for a number of years but I always considerd him a very good friend.
Wonderful, easy-going Cal was my home-fixer-upper carpenter for many years, while I lived in west Omaha on C Street. He would either agree with my wants, or he’d offer another idea, which were, of course, always better than my originals. When I saw his photo, I knew instantly it was him. Please accept my most sincere sympathy in Cal’s passing. My thoughts, and prayers are with you all.
To the Wolf family, thoughts and prayers are with you.
