CAMINITI, Carole F.

Carole F. Caminiti May 10, 1946 – August 14, 2015 Born on May 10, 1946 in Hackensack, New Jersey to Agnes (nee Jacobs) and Phillip Furman, Carole lived in Hillsdale, New Jersey until 1975. She taught seventh and eighth grade at several parochial schools in northern New Jersey from 1968 to 1982. She was also employed by Ramapo College of New Jersey in the office of the President. When health problems ended her teaching career, she took her love of sewing into quilting and won dozens of ribbons and awards at shows and exhibits in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Nebraska. Her great love was singing in the choir of Hawthorne Gospel Church in Hawthorne, New Jersey. She also served on the school board of Hawthorne Christian Academy. After living in Warwick, New York for 27 years, she moved to Omaha in 2006. On August 14, 2015 her body lost the battle with endometrial cancer but her soul is safe at rest in the eternal arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is survived by Lawrence, her beloved husband of forty years; her adopted family, Keith and Nicole DeFini and their daughters, Savannah, London, Sonora and Gianna in Omaha; cousin, Barbara Woods in California; her faithful cat, Rudy; and the blessing of wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Phillip Furman II. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 18th from 5pm to 8pm at the West Center Chapel. SERVICES Wednesday, August 19th at 1pm at the West Center Chapel. Interment, Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Warwick Valley Humane Society in Warwick, New York, or the Nebraska Humane Society, Omaha, NE (the providers of five of the most wonderful cats ever).
