Canh Van Tran of Bellevue, Nebraska, passed away on January 29, 2020.
VISITATION will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 7pm, at the West Center Chapel (7805 West Center Omaha, Nebraska) PRAYERS start at 6pm.
The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 10am, St. Peter Catholic Church, (709 S 28th St. Omaha) on Saturday, February 8, 2020. Reverend Bede Tam Van Nguyen of St. Peter Catholic Church and Father Lydell Lape of St. Mary Catholic Church will be officiating. A reception celebrating Canh’s life will follow the end of mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (2302 Crawford St. Bellevue.)
Canh was born in Vietnam on August 6, 1927. He was married to Dao on April 15, 1964; they were married more than 55 years.
Canh is survived by his wife, Dao Thi Tran; his six children and their spouses: Hanh, Huong and John, Trinh and Khanh, Khai and Heather, Nguyet and Jonathan, Viet and Tamra; his 15 grandchildren: Lauren Marie, Matthew John, Dung Alexander, Mai Han Cassandra, Johnny Joseph, Dominic Duy, Nicholas Linh, Rebecca Hai Lan, Christian Son, Ethan Hai Linh, Katherine My Lan, Ian James Minh, Anya Kieu, Karsten Liem, and Tiegan Faye, and his sister, Hao Thi Tran.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Mary Catholic Church in Bellevue, Nebraska.
