Carol Ann Gilpin
February 8, 1952 – February 19, 2022
Preceded in death by mother and father, Helen and Francis Frederick. Survived by husband, Donald G. Gilpin; children: Barbara Johnson (Donovan), Donald Gilpin (Lisa), and Colleen Jackson (Paul); six grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 22nd from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Wednesday, February 23rd at 10:30am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 6905 Blondo. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Methodist Hospital Foundation or Josie Harper Hospice House.

Survived by her loving husband, Don Gilpin; children: Barb Johnson (Donovan), Donnie Gilpin (Lisa), Colleen Jackson (Paul); grandchildren: Leif Johnson, Kaylie, Ellie and DJ Gilpin, Laurel and Patrick Jackson; siblings: Ron Frederick (Nancy), Nancy Herbert (Tom), Donna Schroeder (Tom), Janet Lund (Tom), Karen Merrow (Gary), and Joann Ruhr (Kevin); many nieces; nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews.
Carol loved and valued family above all else and practiced kindness and generosity throughout her life. She enjoyed travel, especially camping and hiking, and spending time with her grandkids. She leaves behind a legacy of love, lessons, and memories.

At the many celebrations I had the opportunity to share with the family, Carol was always a joy to be around. Heartfelt sympathy to Barb, Donovan, and Leif, as well as the rest of the family.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending you all my deepest sympathy and love at this time. Carol was so kind and loving and always had a sparkle in her eyes.

So sorry to hear of Carol’s passing. We were buddies our freshman year at Marian. She was a wonderful friend.
