Carol Ann (Rice) Meyer

Aug 27, 1936 – May 14, 2017

Carol was an accomplished musician who affected the lives of thousands of Omaha children and adults.  She received a BFA in music at UNO with a major in organ. Later, she earned graduate degrees in elementary teaching and counseling.  She taught music to thousands of children in grades K-6. She was organist in more than 10 churches, including Presbyterian Church of the Master. She was also director of choir and bell choir in several churches.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Esther and Rev. Vernon W. Rice; brother, Fred; granddaughter, Melissa. She is survived by her husband, Ron; three children: Bruce, Jennifer, and Dwayne; two grandchildren, Bradley and Kale.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 17th from 6:30pm to 8pm at Presbyterian Church of the Master, 10710 Corby Circle.  MEMORIAL SERVICE Thursday, May 18th at 11am, Presbyterian Church of the Master.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Heifer International, one of her favorite charities.
